The original Medeco Locks that were installed at the factory stick out roughy 1/2" and the keys is always at 45 degree position. These locks stick out less than 1/4" and the key is always vertical or horizontal based on preference.

A keycode is an alpha numeric code that is assigned to the locks on your aircraft. All Aircraft Security Medeco Keycodes will start with 8M, 7M, 8R or look like 123XH, or XA123. If you do not know it, please create a ticket and reach out to us, please include a copy of your aircraft registration or airworthiness certificate.
